The Who celebrate the life and legacy of long-time collaborator John Davis with a selection of premium art prints featuring five of the artist’s most iconic paintings. Each design is lithographically printed on the finest Italian paper stock, hand-numbered in pencil and limited to 100 units globally.
Through Pete Townshend, John Davis was introduced to the teachings of Meher Baba and several images in his paintings refer to Baba. For example, railway trains often appear in his paintings, symbolising the ‘spiritual path’ or ‘journey’ that followers take. Here Tommy arrives at the holiday camp and is greeted by Keith Moon as Uncle Ernie is his red coat, and white flannels with his straw hat and cane.
